Case Summary

“Come get me, You don’t know the story, it’s not what you think,” Victoria White allegedly wrote on a Facebook page a few days after the Jan. 6, 2021, riot. The Rochester, Minn., woman was actually arrested by police that day. According to court documents, she was apprehended inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, put in zip-tie handcuffs and driven to a police station for processing. She was reportedly released later that evening without any charge. Afterward, White allegedly continued to post comments and links about the riot on her Facebook page. Among the posts: an interview of a woman who identifies herself as “Victoria” and says she was part of the mob pushing to get into the Capitol. “There’s police there and they’re spraying mace,” the woman in the interview allegedly says. “I’m getting beat in the head with a metal baton by the police, and I’m getting massively sprayed with pepper spray by the police … and the next thing I know I’m in the State [sic] Capitol.” Court documents point to that interview, surveillance photos and videos of White as proof that she was in the Capitol that day and forced her way into a lower terrace tunnel.

Case History

White pleaded Guilty to one charge: Civil Disorder and Aiding and Abetting. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 11/20/2023 to 8 days of incarceration to be served on the weekends; 90 days of location monitoring; 24 months probation; $100 special assessment; $2,000 restitution. White received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
