Case Summary
An anonymous citizen submitted a video to the FBI that allegedly depicted Victor Sean Dennison talking about entering the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Surveillance footage also allegedly shows Dennison, wearing a hat with “ALL ABOARD THE TRUMP TRAIN” stitched on it, entering the building through the Senate Wing Door and exiting shortly after. In June of 2021, Dennison was interviewed by FBI agents and agents say they confirmed that Dennison traveled to Washington, D.C., to attend President’s Trump “Stop the Steal” rally, then walked towards the Capitol with the crowd and entered the building. After overhearing someone state, “They’re going to start shooting people,” Dennison says he exited the building, according to court documents. Agents say Dennison also confirmed that on Jan. 7, 2021, the day after the riot, he made a video of himself and another individual in front of the U.S. Supreme Court, in which they described their experiences the day before.
Case History
Dennison pleaded Not Guilty to all charges. Found Guilty on all charges in a Bench trial on 8/28/2024. Sentenced to 30 Days of Incarceration on the first four charges, and 150 Days of Incarceration on Count 5; 12 Months of Supervised Release; Special Assessment of $95. Dennison received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
