Closed circuit television showed Timothy Tedesco entering the U.S. Capitol building at around 2:42 pm on Jan. 6, 2021, according to federal prosecutors. He spent twelve to thirteen minutes inside before exiting via the same door, near the House Chamber. The FBI also received a tip that Tedesco had been standing close to the protestor Ashli Babbitt when she was shot by police inside the building; however, no further evidence of this was presented in an affidavit submitted by federal agents. Tedesco was arrested on Jan. 22, 2024.
