Case Summary

The day before the Capitol attack, Samuel Fisher, a self-professed dating coach who is also known as Brad Holiday, allegedly described three possible scenarios for how Jan. 6, 2021, could play out. "Trump has an Ace card up his sleeve. He plays it. The Deep State is arrested and hanged on the White House lawn for the High Treason. ... Trump fails, Biden gets installed. ... Patriots are ineffective and we live under the rule of the elite pedophiles and chinese communist party. ... Trump fails, Biden gets installed. ... Patriots show up in the millions with guns. They execute all treasonous members of government and rebuild." The criminal complaint does not explicitly say that Fisher subscribes to any extremist ideology, but notions of a "deep state" and a vast child sex-trafficking ring are tenets of the QAnon conspiracy theory. According to court documents, federal investigators believe Fisher was in possession of multiple firearms and a bulletproof vest when he was in Washington. On Jan. 6, Fisher received a Facebook message asking whether D.C. allows open carry. "Not at all," he responded and followed up with a photograph of a couple of firearms. The same day, he wrote, “I’m Going To the parking garage super early,” “Leaving s*** in there maybe except pistol” and “if it kicks off I got a Vest and My Rifle.” The day after the Capitol attack, when Fisher was asked on Facebook whether he made it to the "frontlines" of the Capitol breach, he allegedly responded, “i was there ... it was awesome” / “it was dangerous and violent” / “people died ... but it was f***ing great if you ask me ... i got tear gassed and pepper sprayed” / “seeing cops literally run ... was the coolest thing ive ever seen in my life” / “cant divulge too much here” / “but f*** the dc police” / “in all seriousness and get ready ... get in shape and see if you can find someone that knows medical/veteran w/ combat experience.”
