Case Summary

“I am totally fine with a civil war at this point. It’s beyond time,” Rachel Myers replied to a Facebook post in December 2020, according to screenshots that a tipster sent to the FBI. A few days later, according to an FBI statement of facts, Myers expressed hopes of getting into a fight with counterprotesters at the Jan. 6, 2021, rally, writing to her co-defendant Lawrence Stackhouse: “I’m not scared of those little f****** … those twerps love weapons cuz they can’t fight … I’ll be marching with the P[roud ]B[oy]s so they stay away from me." Surveillance footage allegedly shows Myers entering an office in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s office suite and walking through the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. In the days following, prosecutors say, Myers commented on a Facebook post: “Girl I was there Wednesday, and NO RIOT ever happened. The media are absolute liars. The cops opened those doors for everyone to walk right into the Capitol.” Myers also allegedly texted Stackhouse, writing: “Don’t tell anyone you were there. Just move forward and we will deal with whatever comes our way if it happens!” She was arrested on Dec. 1, 2021, in Philadelphia.

Case History

Myers pleaded Guilty to one charge: Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 2/16/2023 to 24 months of probation; Special Assessment of $10; Restitution in the amount of $500; 60 hours of community service. Myers received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
