Case Summary
In the lead-up to Jan. 6, 2021, prosecutors say Paula Conlon posted to Facebook about the idea that the 2020 election was stolen and said the upcoming rally on Jan. 6 “should be epic.” While court documents show Conlon’s account was deactivated around the time of the attack on the Capitol, prosecutors say a witness who knows Conlon personally confirmed her identity in a video from the Upper West Terrace in which Conlon tells police to “back off.” The FBI says Conlon and fellow defendant Stacy Bond can be seen in surveillance footage from the Capitol. Conlon and Bond were inside the Capitol for around three minutes, the prosecutors say. They were both arrested in May of 2022.
Case History
Conlon pleaded Guilty to one charge: Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 1/5/2023 to 12 Months Probation; Special Assessment of $10; Restitution of $500. Conlon received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
