Case Summary
Oliver Louis Sarko posted several videos on Jan. 6, 2021, to his Snapchat account, where at least two people who know him saw the videos and turned him in to the FBI, court documents say. The videos are taken from both inside and outside the U.S. Capitol building. In one, Sarko can allegedly be heard saying, "We are storming the Capitol out here," “We’re actually breaking in right now," and "Bring out Pelosi." One video has the caption, "We're in," and shows a room that appears to be inside the Capitol. Law enforcement also identified Sarko on surveillance video taken from inside the building, court documents say.
Case History
Sarko pleaded Guilty to the charge. Sentenced 4/29/2022 to 30 days incarceration; 36 months probation; $500 restitution; $10 special assessment. Sarko received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
