Case Summary
Nicole Prado was identified from a tip given to the FBI that she had participated in the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol with another person. Court documents allege that the FBI found images and cellphone video footage from Instagram that appear to show Prado. A person narrating the video says, "Please meet the new Congresswoman... she uh, she just was in the Capitol for the first time today. She stormed the Capitol, she's the new Congresswoman. She's the new Speaker of the House." Video footage of the Capitol on that day shows a woman who resembled Prado walking through the building and matching the clothing in the Instagram video. FBI agents confirmed with other complainants that the person in the video was Prado, court document say.
