Case Summary
Nicholas Perretta’s movements through the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, can be seen on surveillance footage, court documents indicate. Perretta’s image was captured walking through multiple locations in the building with another individual, Mitchell Vukich, who was also charged. When Vukich was presented with images from the videos, he admitted to his own involvement and positively identified Perretta as well. FBI agents say that Perretta later explained that he had travelled to Washington, D.C., with Vukich, where they attended the earlier pro-Trump rally, before heading to the Capitol. While inside, Perretta admitted that the two took papers from the building, which he described as “three-month-old congressional papers” and later disposed of them outside the Capitol.
Case History
Perretta pleaded Guilty to the single charge. Sentenced 1/5/2022 to 30 days incarceration; special Assessment of $10.00 and Restitution of $500. Perretta received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
