Case Summary
Luke Lints’ mother told FBI agents she was hospitalized after a medical incident while walking to the Capitol and doesn’t know what her son did while she was gone, court documents show. Prosecutors say he was in a tunnel at the Capitol assaulting law enforcement. Court documents include photos of Lints allegedly “holding a police shield and pushing back against police officers.” The FBI referred to Lints, of Traverse City, Michigan, as #GreyBlackFlannel when trying to identify him online, court documents show. Prosecutors say Lints wore a shirt of that description, as well as a knit hat with the letters “PV” on it at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. A confidential human source pointed the FBI toward online videos of Lints at the Capitol, as well as his social media. Court documents show investigators compared Lints’ driver’s license to photos from the Capitol to help confirm the identification. Lints was arrested in June of 2022.
