Case Summary
Logan James Barnhart is charged along with six others over their alleged actions at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Among other charges, Barnhart -- along with three others -- is charged with assaulting a Washington, D.C., Metropolitan Police officer with a baton, flagpole and crutch, though court documents indicate it's unclear who is accused of using which weapon. According to news reports, Barnhart was identified by the Sedition Hunters, a group of online amateur sleuths, as #CatSweat. When then-President Donald Trump tweeted preceding Jan. 6, 2021, that it would be a "historic day," Barnhart, a machine operator who has also modeled for the covers of romance novels, allegedly replied from his own Twitter account, "I'll be there," according to news reports.
