Case Summary
Lewis Wayne Snoots can allegedly be seen in surveillance footage from the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Court records indicate that in that footage, he is seen in a tunnel leading into the Capitol participating in a "heave-ho" effort to overwhelm the police protecting the entrance to the building. Snoots can also allegedly be seen passing police riot shields over his head to the mob in an attempt to push through. Snoots can later be seen on video, court records state, grabbing a police officer and restraining him while others assaulted the officer. Later that evening, Snoots allegedly appeared in a video on social media and said: "I'm fed up with it, everybody is fed up with it... What they don't understand is it's just starting. Every political a****** up in that place is now going to have a target on their back everywhere they go."
