Case Summary
Levi Gable first came to the attention of the FBI after a witness, who identified himself as his college fraternity brother, contacted the agency, according to court documents. The witness told the FBI that Gable posted videos on social media of himself being inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. “I was among the first people to make our way into the U.S. Capitol Building,” Gable allegedly wrote on Facebook. “Those in the building first were there in protest of Vice President Mike Pence’s statement that he would not stand with the American people and challenge the results of 2020’s stolen presidential election. The proof is undeniable for anyone who takes an objective look at the accusations of election fraud, provided you are looking somewhere other than the fake news and social media.” The FBI interviewed Gable in person, but he denied having entered the building. Footage taken inside the building was also used to confirm he entered the Capitol and walked through Statuary Hall while filming and taking pictures on his cellphone, court records indicate.
Case History
Gable pleaded Guilty to one charge: Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 1/17/2023 to 24 months of probation; 45 days of location monitoring; 50 hours of community service; Special Assessment of $25; Fine of $1000; Restitution of $500. Gable received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
