Case Summary
A law enforcement filing in federal court alleges that Johnny Harris posted photos of himself from inside the Capitol during the insurrection. Investigators tracked him down after an anonymous tipster flagged photos that Harris had allegedly posted on his Facebook page. In four photos gathered by investigators, including from body camera and security camera footage from inside the Capitol, Harris can be seen holding a flag inside the Capitol rotunda. According to prosecutors, two individuals who traveled with Harris to Washington, D.C., identified Harris as the individual pictured in several photos apparently taken inside the Capitol.

Harris pleaded Guilty to one charge: Disorderly and Disruptive Conduct in a Restricted Building. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 6/2/2023 to 7 Months Incarceration; 12 Months Supervised Release; $25 Special Assessment; $500 Restitution. Harris received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
