Case Summary
“We don’t win this thing sitting on the sidelines. Excited to stand for truth with my fellow patriots and freedom fighters in DC today. Lessss do this,” read a post on Facebook by Jessica Bustle, according to court documents. Bustle — wearing a tan and white knitted cap, with the slogan “LIONS NOT SHEEP” — is apparently seen on multiple videos walking inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, with her husband. “Pence is a traitor. We stormed the capital. An unarmed peaceful woman down the hall from us was shot in neck by cops. It’s insane here. We’re safe and heading home but have limited service,” she later posted on social media, according to the FBI. Bustle and her husband attended the “Health Freedom Rally” which also took place in D.C. on the same day. According to court documents, Bustle was wearing a sign that read, in part: “VACCINE INJURY is the REAL PANDEMIC.”
Case History
Bustle pleaded Guilty to: Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in Capitol Buildings; the other charges were dismissed. Sentenced to 24 Months of Probation, which includes 60 days of home confinement; and 40 hours of community service; Special Assessment of $10 and Restitution of $500. Bustle received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
