Case Summary
A search warrant served on Google produced geolocation data showing that Jeremiah Carollo’s mobile phone was likely within a restricted area of the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, according to an FBI statement of facts. When FBI agents interviewed Carollo in November 2021 at his home in Illinois, he allegedly admitted entering the Capitol building and identified himself, his brother Anthony Carollo and his cousin Cody Vollan in surveillance footage. Those two men have also been charged. According to a sentencing memorandum filed in federal court, Carollo served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1995 to 1999 and enlisted again from 2006 to 2007. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant.

Carollo received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
