Case Summary

On Jan. 6, 2021, Jenny Cudd allegedly livestreamed on Facebook from the Capitol. According to court documents, Cudd stated: “I was here today on January 6th when the new revolution started at the Capitol,” she said. "F*** yes, I am proud of my actions, I f***ing charged the Capitol today with patriots today." "We did break down Nancy Pelosi’s office door, and somebody stole her gavel, and I took a picture sitting in the chair flipping off the camera and that was on Fox News,” she added during her live social media stream. Cudd is charged with offenses that don’t include destruction of property, despite her statement. In November 2019, Cudd ran for mayor of Midland, Texas, but lost in the elections, coming in third, according to the Midland Country Summary Results Report. Her campaign slogan was “Midland Deserves Better.” Cudd is the owner of Becky’s Flowers, a local flower shop. The Houston Chronicle reported that in 2020, Cudd was part of protests in Midland against “business closures and potential mask mandates.”
