Case Summary
The FBI claims photos of a well-dressed man standing inside the Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, are Jeffery Finley of Martinsburg, W.Va. The man’s face is obscured by a mask with a skull design, but agents said his blue suit, black dress shirt and red Trump cap match other photos of Finley taken outside the Capitol building that day in which he is also wearing a wired earpiece. Court documents said the FBI obtained AT&T records through a search warrant showing Finley's phone used a cell tower that provides service to the interior of the Capitol building.
Case History
Finley pleaded Guilty to one charge: Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 2/13/2023 to 75 days of incarceration; 12 months of Supervised Release; Special Assessment of $25 and Restitution of $500; 60 hours of community service. Finley received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
