Case Summary
Glenn Brooks “boasted” about his role at the Jan. 6, 2021, riot and sent selfies from inside the U.S. Capitol to members of his church prayer group, according to a criminal complaint. A member of that text message group chat forwarded them to the FBI in January. The FBI says surveillance footage shows Brooks climbing through a broken window near the Senate wing and taking pictures inside, wearing plaid scarf and a hat with the word "Trump" emblazoned on it. Court documents show Brooks was arrested on July 29, 2021. According to his LinkedIn profile, the 60-year-old Brooks owns a home-remodeling firm called Brooks Works Corp. in Huntington Beach, Calif. Court documents say that surveillance conducted on Brooks by the FBI shows him exiting a vehicle with the name of the company on the side.

Brooks received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
