Case Summary

Federal prosecutors say Felicia Konold traveled to Washington, D.C., along with her brother, Cory Konold. They were allegedly part of a group of Proud Boys, the far-right extremist group, that joined in the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Both Konolds allegedly led confrontations with Capitol Police guarding the Capitol and "used their hands and bodies in an effort to disrupt or dismantle the metal barriers that officers were using to control the crowd." They can then be seen in footage from inside the Capitol, prosecutors say. At one point, metal barriers were activated inside the building to try to seal off parts of the Capitol from the mob. Felicia Konold allegedly blocked the barriers from coming down, allowing more attackers to enter. Later, a Snapchat account believed to be associated with Felicia Konold featured videos describing how she was inducted into a Kansas City chapter of the Proud Boys, court papers indicate. Both Konolds now face charges of conspiracy related to the attack on the Capitol.

Case History

Konold pleaded Guilty to one charge: Obstruction of Law Enforcement During Civil Disorder and Aiding and Abetting. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 1/24/2024 to 45 days of Incarceration; 90 days location monitoring; 24 months of Supervised Release; $100 Special Assessment; Restitution of $2,000. Konold received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
