Case Summary

Federal investigators used open source videos from Tik Tok and YouTube, along with closed circuit television, to identify Dylan Bowling and his wife, Marissa Bowling, inside the Capitol building for approximately 21 minutes on Jan. 6, 2021, according to court documents. GPS data from the Bowlings' phones, obtained through Google, also placed them inside the building during that time. When investigators interviewed Bowling, she denied entering the Capitol building at all that day.

Case History

Bowling pleaded Guilty to two charges: Disorderly Conduct on Capitol Grounds; Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in any of the Capitol Buildings. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 7/19/2024 to 24 months of probation, the first 30 days to be served on home detention; $20 special assessment; $500 restitution; 60 days community service. Bowling received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
