Case Summary
After a tipster provided a video showing Dovid Schwartzberg apparently exiting the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, two FBI agents interviewed him in March. Schwartzberg allegedly told federal law enforcement that he was the individual in the video and that he was at the Capitol because he wished to "be where the action was." He also told the FBI agents that he had entered the Capitol through a broken window and that he had posted a video to his TikTok account with the caption, "It was intense inside congress today." Schwartzberg also sent numerous videos to the FBI that apparently show him filming inside the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. He surrendered to an FBI agent on April 20, 2021.
Case History
Schwartzberg pleaded Guilty to one charge: Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. The other charges were dismissed. Sentenced 9/7/2022 to 45 days of incarceration, $500 restitution; $10 special assessment. Schwartzberg received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
