Case Summary

Dona Bissey allegedly breached the Capitol along with another woman from Indiana, Anna Morgan-Lloyd. Both women posted photos and comments about their actions on Jan. 6, 2021, according to federal prosecutors. “Best f***ing day ever!! I’ll never forget. We got into the Capitol Building,” Bissey wrote in one post cited in court documents. In another post, Bissey wrote, "I can tell you even though windows and doors were busted, the Police stood with arms crossed. No force. Some even opened doors and fences. Seen it with my own eyes.” Bissey is the owner of a salon, according to a witness who spoke with federal agents. That witness told investigators that Bissey "regularly spoke supportively of QAnon and other conspiracy theories."

Case History

Bissey pleaded Guilty to Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. The other charges were dismissed. Sentenced 10/12/2021 to 14 days of incarceration; 60 hours of community service; $10 special assessment; restitution of $500. Bissey received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
