Case Summary
An FBI tip led investigators to a video that allegedly shows Dawn Bancroft, a gym owner, entering the Capitol building through a broken window as part of the Jan. 6, 2021, insurrection. According to court documents, federal investigators reviewed a video in which Bancroft allegedly said, “We were looking for Nancy to shoot her in the friggin’ brain but we didn’t find her.” Investigators believe Bancroft was referring to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. In an interview with an FBI special agent, Bancroft confirmed that she climbed through a broken window to get inside the Capitol on Jan. 6 and knew she was entering restricted grounds.

Sentenced 7/21/22 to 60 days incarceration, 3 years probation, 100 hours community service, $500 restitution, $10 special assessment. Bancroft received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
