Case Summary
According to court documents, Cody Vollan admitted to entering the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, after traveling to Washington, D.C., with his cousins Anthony Carollo and Jeremiah Carollo, who also have been charged in relation to the riot. The three identified one another in stills from videos taken inside the Capitol, prosecutors say. A witness who told the FBI they are related to Vollan also allegedly identified him and confirmed his presence at the insurrection with his cousins. A search warrant to Google also allegedly showed a device for Vollan’s email address was likely in or around the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.
Case History
Vollan pleaded Guilty to one charge: Parading, Demonstrating, or Picketing in a Capitol Building. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 9/13/2022 to 12 months of probation, $500 restitution and $10 special assessment; 60 hours of community service. Vollan received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
