Case Summary

In late December of 2020, Christina Legros and her boyfriend Isaac Thomas left for a vacation to New York from their home in Michigan. During the trip, the pair traveled to Washington, D.C., and were at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, according to an FBI statement of facts. Thomas is also charged in relation to the riot. Various media footage allegedly shows the couple at the Capitol, making their way to an area near a raised platform, both carrying blue flags on poles. According to court documents, Thomas shouted at law enforcement and swung a flagpole multiple times in an effort to hit officers. Later, the couple is allegedly seen on video footage entering the building, making their way to the Crypt, and then the Rotunda, where the couple separated. They eventually reunited and exited the building, court documents indicate. Legros told the FBI they attempted to return to where their car was parked only to discover that it was no longer present, so the two returned to Michigan on Jan. 10, 2021, on a Greyhound bus.

Case History

Legros pleaded Guilty to one charge: Entering and Remaining in an Restricted Building or Grounds. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 5/9/2024 to Time Served; 6 months Supervised Release; $25 Special Assessment; $500 Restitution. Legros received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
