Case Summary
Federal prosecutors allege that Carol Kicinski breached the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021, along with fellow Floridian Jon Heneghan, who is also charged, and can be seen on video in the Capitol Rotunda. Prosecutors say they examined user location data obtained from Google and cellphone providers to help identify Kicinski and Heneghan and confirm their presence in the Capitol that day. On her website, Kicinski describes herself as "America's Gluten Free Voice," and she has made appearances on local TV in her capacity as a chef. Kicinski was arrested in Dunedin, Fla., on Feb. 23, 2022.
Case History
Kicinski pleaded Guilty to one charge: Entering and Remaining in a Restricted Building or Grounds. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 6/23/2023 to 20 Days of incarceration; 1 Year of Supervised Release; Special Assessment of $25; Restitution of $500. Kicinski received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
