Case Summary
The FBI zeroed in on Brian Healion as a person who entered the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, after the bureau obtained the phone records of another man charged, Zachary Rehl, who is the president of the Philadelphia chapter of the far-right group the Proud Boys, court documents indicate. Healion is charged alongside two others, Isaiah Giddings and Freedom Vy. They were allegedly part of a Telegram message with Rehl and one other unidentified person, who does not appear to be charged. The group members planned their travel together from Philadelphia to D.C., including sharing contact information and blood types, on the day before the riot. Giddings, Healion and Vy then stayed together at The Darcy hotel in D.C., court records say, on the night before the riot. On the morning of Jan. 6, 2021, Vy and Healion took a selfie together at the Washington Monument, each flashing the "OK" hand gesture, which is associated with the Proud Boys, court records indicate. The four men then allegedly entered the west side of the Capitol, near the Senate, where they can be seen in various photos and videos.
Case History
Healion pleaded Guilty to one charge: Civil Disorder. The other charges are dismissed. Sentenced on 7/2/2024 to 100 days of Incarceration; 36 months of Supervised Release; $100 Special Assessment; Restitution of $2,000. Healion received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
