Case Summary
In early June, 2021, Anthony Vuksanaj, alongside two others, was arrested and charged with first degree robbery, according to court documents. Detectives from the Westchester County Police Department in New York interviewed him about his alleged involvement in the robbery, but he denied involvement. The officers seized Vuksanaj’s cellphone and issued a search warrant. According to the FBI, Vuksanaj's phone was subsequently identified as being in an area that included the grounds of the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6, 2021. After reviewing video footage from inside the Capitol, the Westchester County detectives were able to confirm that Vuksanaj was in the building, court documents indicate. A video shot by a reporter for National Geographic also allegedly shows Vuksanaj walking around the building, recording on his cellphone.

Sentenced 4/29/2022 to 42 days incarceration; 36 months probation; three months home detention; $2,000 fine; $500 restitution; $10 special assessment; 25 hours of community service. Vuksanaj received a full pardon on January 20, 2025
